This piece was created by the use of clay and leather coils. They were tied together in the thief knot. When the clay was leather hard, the leather part was removed. What remained was the impression of the leather on the clay counterpart. The areas in which the leather was in contact with the clay is further highlighted by a shiny black glaze. Once fired, this was mounted on a concrete plinth.
