As one of the proud members of our ESEA (Ease South-East Asian) Designers Makers community, we are returning once again this year for the Dulwich Festival Artists Open House in May 2023.

Location: 8 LITTLE BORNES, SE21 8SE

Over two weekends: 13-14 May, 20-21 May 2023

Design collective, ESEA Designers Makers, promotes and celebrates the creative talents of East Southeast Asian designers makers. Alongside 6 featured designers, a curated shop showcases products including jewellery, illustration, and ceramics. The open house is at a mid-century townhouse.

Hokolo (an amalgamation of Hong Kong and London) offers a collection of colourful, patterned homewares and accessories featuring graphic prints and patterns inspired by mid-century-modern designs. Samples have been discounted for open house.

Environmentally friendly antique project artworks (Japanese wooden antiques + IKUKO Iwamoto's porcelain pieces) and organic shaped porcelain vases which are inspired by microscopic patterns will be displayed at the show.

Tomoko is a London based Japanese artist and jeweller. She creates imaginative and playful world into her unique pieces. All her work is carefully handcrafted and has a story to tell.

Hong Kong-born artist Candice Lau creates sculptures that amalgamate leather and clay. Weaving and pulling clay as if it was leather and treating leather as if it was a material with fluid characteristics.

Jess is a Chinese Vietnamese textile designer maker specialising in printed textiles using natural dyes. Colour plays an important part in her work and intertwines texture and mark making through the technique of bundle dyeing.

Handmade children’s clothes, bags and homewares with illustrations by Rika Tanabe Hirsig, a London based Japanese designer and illustrator. Her products bring a bit of fun and humour to everyday life.
